Please note: Due to an oversight, some previous launch notes may not have reached all customers; we are republishing them now to ensure everyone is informed.

The following releases have either recently been released or will be released soon:

  1. Program Setup - Lock Default Answers

  2. Program Setup - Deactivate Account

  3. Bid Disposition Redesign

Program Setup - Lock Default Answers

Expected Release Date: October 2nd, 2024

We are excited to announce we have added the ability to lock default answers to custom questions in program setup.

How It Works:

Users will be able to lock default answers on both certified and non-certified accounts. When creating a non-certified program users can add and lock the default answer in the "Create Custom Question" modal. For certified and non-certified programs that have already been launched, users can add and lock default answers to all custom questions in one modal.

Default answers will be prepopulated for all hotels in that domain at rate plan attachment, if the answer is locked then it will be displayed as read-only and hotels will not be able to edit the answer during attachment.

Program Setup - Deactivate Account

Expected Release Date: September 18, 2024

We are excited to announce an enhancement to program setup that allows suppliers to activate and deactivate a completed account at any point in the RFP process.

How It Works:

When viewing a completed program users will now have the ability to "Save and activate" or "Save and deactivate." These options will always be available for both certified and non-certified accounts.

When an account is deactivated any bids for that account will not be accessible from the Property Bid List. Hotels will instead see a message that "Your chain RFP administrator is currently setting up this account."

Bid Disposition Redesign

Expected Release Date: Date pending; to be advised.

We are excited to introduce a significant update to the Cvent Transient platform to enhance the supply bid disposition process. This update focuses on improving the selection and integration of room types and extended stay rates, aligning them with the details negotiated during the bid process. Additionally, we have addressed issues in ancillary processes impacted by the changes in bid disposition.

Target Audience:

  • Suppliers: This update is specifically designed to improve the experience and efficiency for suppliers managing bid processes and reporting.

Important Highlights:

  • AWR Rates Display: All room types will display an average weighted rate based on the rate type, providing comprehensive visibility.

  • Extended Stay Rate Details: In the new UX, users will be able to accept individual extended stay rates and room availability.

  • Enhanced API Logic: The Cvent Universal API is updated to reflect:

    • The acceptance of rates and rate types at a room type level.

    • The specific extended stay rates accepted during the disposition process.

Benefits:

  1. Expanded Property and Rate Type Selection:

    • Simplifies the process for supply administrators by including room types along with rate types and property selections, ensuring consistency with negotiated bid details.

    • Provides a comprehensive and streamlined approach to manage daily stay rates and extended stay rates, improving accuracy and efficiency in bid negotiations.

  2. Bid Rates and Status Integration Updates:

    • New "pull" integration specifications are updated to capture detailed information on accepted rates and room types during the bid disposition process.

    • Ensures consistency across all user interactions, providing a seamless experience for both certified and non-certified accounts.

  3. Improved Transparency and Consistency:

    • The redesign adds transparency by allowing users to see all rates and room types during the process.

    • Users can now selectively accept extended stay rates based on room type and rate availability.

    • The user interface for extended stay rate selection is now aligned with the daily stay selection process.

    • This consistency ensures a smoother and more intuitive experience for users managing both extended and daily stay rates.
