Cvent Transient: Scaled-Up Bid Disposition Workflow – Faster Processing, Zero Timeouts

Expected Release Date: 13 June, 2025

We’re pleased to announce a significant performance upgrade to the bid disposition workflow, designed to meet the growing needs of users managing large volumes of proposals. This release directly addresses feedback from users who experienced timeouts and slow response times when processing bids in bulk.

What’s New?

In high-volume scenarios—particularly when users attempted to dispose of thousands of proposals at once—our system previously encountered timeouts and delays, disrupting the ability to complete the acceptance process efficiently. With this enhancement, the workflow has been scaled to seamlessly support up to 10,000 bids in a single session.

This upgrade not only improves reliability but also shortens the time required to process and finalize large sets of hotel responses, whether you're accepting or rejecting bids.

Key Benefits:

  • No More Timeouts: The workflow now efficiently supports large-scale bid dispositions, eliminating the timeout issues experienced when processing thousands of bids.

  • Improved Performance: You’ll notice significantly faster processing times, making it easier to complete acceptance workflows on time—even under heavy load.

  • Streamlined Experience: The enhanced performance leads to a smoother and more reliable transition from the bid list to the disposition workflow.

This release is part of our ongoing commitment to improving platform reliability and meeting the evolving needs of our users.

Cvent Transient - Modify Programs

Release Date: 21 May, 2025

Suppliers can now edit non-certified programs in the new user experience without assistance from Cvent. This allows account managers more control of their non-certified programs and saves time.

What is changing?

  • Program: Users will now see an "Edit Program" button for non-certified programs with hotels invited. When they click the button, an editable view of the program will be displayed where they can make any necessary changes.

  • Attachment: If a hotel has started their response when changes are made to the program, any errors that occur because of those changes will be displayed in attachment and must be fixed by hotels before submitting the bid.

  • Negotiation: If a hotel has submitted a bid when changes are made to a program, an alert will be displayed to hotels on the negotiation screen. Any errors that could occur because of those changes will be displayed in negotiation and must be fixed by hotels before submitting the bid.

Why did we make the change?

  • Suppliers sometimes need to edit the parameters of a program after hotels are invited. This was previously not allowed because it can cause errors in existing bids. This feature allows programs to be edited and introduces extensive error handling and messaging to the bid so hotels can fix any issues that may occur.

Who is this change impacting?

  • Supply users with the role Account Management > Edit Setup set to "edit/view" can edit the program.
